SonicSplitz is a personal endeavour in which I examine the potential applications of artificial intelligence in the field of music, particularly in the beat-making process. As a producer, I am aware of the frustration experienced by my colleagues when searching for the ideal melody for their soundtrack. Either it costs money or it takes a lot of time. SonicSplitz offers a quick and inexpensive option to acquire melodies that are copyright-free and royalty-free. This is made possible by using artificial intelligence to create tunes in the user's preferred key. SonicSplitz takes it a step further by introducing social features such as sharing and liking of generated melodies. This expands SonicSplitz to become a platform for AI generated melodies where producers can either generate melodies of their own or download shared melodies from the community.
